My dear friend from Romania,
On behalf on the 300 odd million residents of the great nation of the United States of America;
I offer the Olive branch of President Elect Obama in the spirit of the democratic process. In the event circumstances do not work out to your approval, I shall request renegotiation to the notice of revocation of our independence.
Presently 95% “of the people” are experiencing an economic shakedown by those elected officials of whom you refer to as incompetent. I assure you a great deal of the 285 million average Americans of which I refer, were attempting to employ your model of “21 hints to a happy life.”
Unfortunately, greed and politics pervaded the American dream.

With respect to Politics, I think you would tend to agree those in power tend to be reluctant to relinquish such power…
With respect to greed, I think you would tend to agree it goes hand in glove with the capitalistic model. (See Adam Smith)
Item 13 is a deal breaker. It is non-negotiable. All other items are on the table.

My dear friend, first of all, thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read my posts. Second, thank you for taking the time to elaborate such an interesting reply. Now, the whole post with the queen is a letter written with the most pure British sense of humor, and unfortunately, many of my readers do not quite understand the British sarcasm, which by the way is out of the scope of my response. Some people say that the level and the finesse of sarcasm mirrors the IQ, but that again, is not to be discussed here. If the 21 hints of a happy life are so common sense, that does not imply that 85% of the people live by them, they might look like common sense for you, me and other few, but not for 85%. I have another common sense post on my blog here http://blogspot.tudorconstantin.com/2008/12/being-intelligently-selfish-key-to.html and that might be extended to the greed institutionalized by a capital market. Greed, or selfishness, if done intelligently can be a real gain for all the people involved. Coming back to the 21 hints, in my opinion they can all be synthesized by "do onto others as you would have them do onto you". This is the most wise life principle ever existed. Maybe thats why Jesus said it in the form of "Love your peers as you love yourself" and state it as a law. I don't have the time right now to write anymore, but your response really stimulated me, and I hope we can debate more on the subjects on the line.
Cheers, Tudor
TC,
In these times I believe as citizens of a troubled world we must do all we can to show those in power the errors of their ways. The world community surely can function adequately without the ongoing power struggle.
I actually enjoy the whole British humour. ( thought you would take advantage of the U ) As you may have noticed the site description sights sarcasm and hyperbole.
If I may clarify a point regarding the 21 hints of a happy life... Attempting to employ happiness and actualizing happiness are a not common sense philosophy in the States. The 85% of which I was referring was actual survival mode. The Constitution as it was written is relatively a Historic relic.
Once again, I do hope you do not take offence to being ID'd T.C.
It's a term of endearment.
Excellent BLOG fodder by the way.
Let's see if we can employ greater International interest my friend. It's arguably an obligation to the future of mankind wouldn't you say?
